New footage is launched today to show how a partnership between WAGGGS and Greenpeace is helping young women to build a better world, in line with the aims of International Youth Day 2012.
Today WAGGGS is celebrating the International Youth Day theme of "Building a Better World: Partnering with Youth" by releasing new short films showing the work done by a Girl Guide and Girl Scout who recently joined a Greenpeace voyage to promote Arctic conservation.
Miryam and Yvette travelled from their homes in Peru and Ghana to join an Arctic sea voyage, to promote the environmental organization Greenpeace's new campaign Save the Arctic.
The new short films will be followed soon by a full length film showing the voyage in more depth. While you wait, why not add your name to the Save the Arctic scroll?
On International Youth Day, please join WAGGGS in advancing youth participation and development by responding to the UN Action Plan survey, reading the UN's interviews on the role of youth partnerships, and visiting the UN Google+ page.
