16 Days to Make Girls Heard: Day 15

Traduction à suivre

9 Décembre 2011

Centenary Logo.jpgFor 2012, the final year of the centenary, we want Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world to SHARE the voices of 10 million girls and young women to stop violence against girls and young women.

On the 10 April 2012, the final centenary day, we want our members to make a commitment to the Stop the Violence campaign. We want members worldwide to announce an Action Plan for their involvement in the campaign.

We have resources available to help you develop a substantial campaign plan. Your plan can focus on the issues important in your country or community. It could be about raising awareness of that issue or trying to change policy at a national level.

The commitment you make on the 10 April 2012 is an outline of what you will do. You won’t by then have had to have delivered your plan. The 10 April is an announcement of your plan.

Imagine commitments being made in 145 countries, supported by 10 million voices, all saying on the 10 April 2012 – Stop the Violence. Speak out for girls’ rights. What a powerful force for change!

More information can be found in the 2012 Centenary Celebration Activity Pack.

Submit your Action Plan to stoptheviolence@wagggsworld.org
