The 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 7th Session of the Conference of Parties serving as the meeting of the parties (CMP7) to the Kyoto Protocol, will be held in Durban, South Africa from 28 November to 8 December 2011. The Conference of Parties (COP) to the UNFCCC have been meeting annually to assess progress in dealing with climate change which also adopts decisions and resolutions on the implementation of its provisions. Who is on board

The WAGGGS delegation, which includes 17 youth delegates from 13 different countries, will ensure the voice of girls and young women will be taken into account at those negotiations. Find out about the young WAGGGS representatives and why they want to make a difference in Durban.

How you can join in

Whether in Durban or not - everybody can make a difference and together we can save our planet. Wherever you are, join us on 29 November 2011 for a special action on Young and Future Generations (YoFuGe) Day. The YoFuGe Day is a day dedicated to young and future generations during COP and WAGGGS members around the world will take the opportunity to do an excited action to raise awareness on climate change in public.
