Logo of the Joint Asia Pacific-Arab Regional Training of Trainers Workshop 2011The Asia Pacific Region and Arab Region are delighted to invite Member Organizations to participate in the Joint Asia Pacific-Arab Regional Training of Trainers Workshop. The workshop hosted by Persatuan Pandu Puteri Malaysia will be from 29 November to 2 December 2011 at Grand BlueWave Hotel, Shah Alam, Malaysia.

We believe that this first ever joint event between the Asia Pacific Region and Arab Region will create greater awareness among our members of the international aspect of Girl Guiding / Girl Scouting and open us to a greater diversity of training methods through exchanges between members of the two regions.

The workshop, with the theme “T=C3” (Trainers = Create, Challenge, Change), aims to explore innovative training methodologies and ideas to address needs of the changing environment and ensure effective delivery of the Girl Guiding / Girl Scouting programme to our members.

Below are more details of the event:

Date: 29 November - 2 December 2011 (arrival on 28 Nov and departure on 3 Dec)

Venue: Grand BlueWave Hotel, Shah Alam, Malaysia

Fees: GBP 300 per person (twin sharing) or GBP 420 per person (single occupancy). Fees are inclusive of accommodation, meals, workshop facilities and materials, and airport transfer from 28 November to 3 December.

Participants:

Asia Pacific Region

Each Member Organization in the Asia Pacific Region are invited to send applications for 2 participants and 2 reserves. Reserve participants will be considered upon availability of places and are not eligible for grants. Member Organizations are encouraged to send participants with the following profile:

Participant 1: Person responsible for the review and delivery of Training for adult leaders in the MO. This person should also be an experienced trainer who is currently training

Participant 2: Potential trainer age 35 and below, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading girls.

Arab Region

Each Member Organization in the Arab Region are invited to send applications for 3 participants and 2 reserves. Reserve participants will be considered upon availability of places and are not eligible for grants. Member Organizations are encouraged to send participants with the following profile:

Participant 1: Person responsible for the review and delivery of Training for adult leaders in the MO. This person should also be an experienced trainer who is currently training

Participant 2: Potential trainer age 35 and below, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading girls.

Participant 3: Profile of either Participant 1 or Participant 2
