The morning was very exciting because participants had the opportunity to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the pyramids. Nancy, from Uganda, said about the height of the pyramid: ‘It was beyond our imagination!”In the afternoon, the first session had different rotating workshops: ‘I am part of Arab Region’, ‘I am part of Africa Region’ and ‘I am part of WAGGGS’. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the structure and activities of both regions and the structure of WAGGGS.
The second session was on tradition and heritage. Participants were able to share their different cultures and to clarify some negative attitudes and beliefs about some cultural practices. It was indeed a time we all learnt new things!
The international night was very colourful with participants dressed in different traditional costumes. We all walked as ambassadors of our countries. We shared our traditional food, snacks and gift items (henna) freely.
It was a night to remember!
