On 31 October 2009 60 Brownies and Guides participated in an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Workshop, which was conducted by instructors from Tai Po Environmental Association. The purpose of the event was to help the girls to understand energy efficiency and climate change due to man's impact on the environment. During the workshop Guides learnt how to make solar ovens with recycled materials and Brownies learnt how to assemble solar-powered toy cars.
