Girl Guides Australia invites Girl Guides/Girl Scouts and Leaders to the Australian Girl Guide Jamboree, "fanTAStic 2013" which will be held from 6 to 12 January 2013 in Tasmania. Participation is open to youth members age 12 - 17 and leaders / adult members.
Information about the Jamboree:

Date: 6 - 12 January 2013 Venue: Quercus Park, Carrick, Tasmania (nearest airport is Launceston) Participation:
Fees: Fees include: transfers from point of entry into and from Tasmania, meals, accommodation in tents, sleeping bags and mats, blanket, pillow, dilly (plate) bag, scheduled program, most off site activities (fees do not include transport to Tasmania or travel insurance)

Activities could include:
- Day in central Launceston followed by an exciting evening in the Launceston Cataract Gorge
- Bivouac for 12 –13 year olds
- Over night off site activity for 14-17 year olds

Tasmania is the most southern of the 7 States and Territories which make up Australia. Some say it is the most beautiful State with walking trails through rugged mountains, picturesque villages and white sands on the beaches. Tasmania produces a gourmet's feast; from fresh farm produce to award winning cheeses, sauces, wines and much more. Fresh fish is also caught in the waters around Tasmania and on the inland rivers and lakes.
