Entered on: 13 March 2009
As part of the '2008 - Year for Cadet, Undergraduate and Adult Guides: Building Esteem in Young Women,' 70 members of the Penang Branch of Persatuan Pandu Puteri, Malaysia took part in the first camp for Brownies in August 2008. The camp was held at the Water Sports Centre in Tanjung Bungah, Penang.
Activities included performance, statue dancing, song sessions and games throughout the night. Girl Guides improved their leadership skills by taking care of the Brownies during the camp. Many Brownies also gained confidence and became more independent following their participation in the camp.
