Centenary news 2012

On 10 April 2012, we are asking Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world to celebrate the final year of the centenary with activities based on the theme ‘Share’. In particular we want Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to ‘Share their stories’ and ‘Share their voices.’

Please email us your centenary activities, stories and photos at centenary@wagggsworld.org.

As the centenary ambassador for Zambia I wish all the Girl guides to share their experiences.Guiding was planted in 1924 here in our country and has been the oldest and largest Girls organization ever since. Over the years we have grown in numbers to extended to every corner of the country especially the rural areas...this year my wish is that both the old and the young Guides share their changing lives ' stories so as to share the spirit of Guiding...'to all girls in Zambia, Africa and the World.I am what I am today because of the year 1975 when I became a brownie at St Andrews church in Woodlands Lusaka...

I just want to take the time to thank all the WAGGS who came to Philadelphia on May 17, and 19th. My girls had such a wonderful time meeting everyone and greeting all of you @ the Constitution Center. Thank you so very much for a once in a life time event. My little Daisy Avigal is telling everyone about and My cadette was just wonderful with meeting you all it was just a pleasant time.
Thank you again
