The Global Girls Fund
Through the Centenary Appeal, the World Association of Girl guides and Girl Scouts is creating the Global Girls Fund dedicated to empowering all girls and young women to reach their full potential and take action to change the world for the better. You can now watch the new Global Girls Fund video!
The video features young women – from the UK, Sweden, Ecuador and the Philippines – speaking about the difference Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting has made to their lives. They draw on the different opportunities that they participated in, such as the Juliette Low Seminar or the Commission on the Status of Women.
The Global Girls Fund will
- Equip girls and young women with leadership skills
- Grow the global voice of girls and young women and support them in making a difference
- Invest in girls and their communities and enable the development and delivery of global education, training and support.
When we look to the future and envisage a world where girls and young women’s voices are heard, they are empowered through leadership and learning and can make a positive difference to society and the world around them: a world in which, through Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting, many more girls and young women are changing their lives and the lives of others.
