Day three

Sunday -The day of the Albatross Society

Some girls, decided to go to church early morning, while others opted to stay in bed. Breakfast was optional and was available till 10:30am. Today also marked a special day for  Prarthina, which is her 20th birthday and we were treated to a chocolate cake for lunch.

Today’s topic was on ’Values, Believes and Attitude’. We all had to evaluate what our values where and got a piece of paper to circle our top five values. We then had to depict these five vales in a creative way, by making collages. We got into four groups to discuss our most five valuable aspects, and why we chose those five. We had a discussion on the WAGGGS value and how it is all summed up in the big word PROGRESSIVE.

We reflected on yesterday’s market time, split into two groups: the buyers and sellers, and emphasised on bargaining, emotional response and person acceptance of our purchases.

The planning team made a really nice role-play called The Albatross Society. We were helped to think in new ways about cultures and traditions and the way we understand them. They were really cute as albatrosses!

We had a long session about communication. We were pleased that all participant was eager to communicate, we did it so much, that we where late to dinner! We looked at communication at three phases: how to listen, how to talk and in what way we are asking questions.
