Day two

Saturday - A day of leading, shopping and friendship

We started the day with our patrol’s reflection which was based on ‘Friendship’. The morning’s session was all about leadership theories. We began to understand that there is no right or wrong way to be a leader but that it is important to have a balance between – team, task and individual.

We then moved on to looking at ourselves as a leader and what type of leader we all are e.g. magician, warrior, lovers, sovereign. We had to identify our weaknesses and come up with ways of improving our leadership skills.

Everyone was very excited about heading in to the markets. Our journey in to the markets and back again was very different. We are now all familiar with rickshaws and Indian traffic jams!! The participants were split in to their patrols and headed off shopping for Saries and Punjabies.

The day ended with a Swiss candle light walk and evaluation. Everyone enjoyed another great day at Sangam and was glad to get an early night.
