'Building bridges' workshop

Contact

Lebanese Girl Scouts' Association

Description

This 3 day workshop was designed for teams from the different girl guiding/scouting associations in Lebanon (9 associations in all) in order to build their ability to work together towards a common vision: The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives.

The 3 day workshop was based on an experience-based approach; to help each participant
or team accomplish specific learning goals, we used sports and adventure activities (climbing, hiking, caving, paint ball...). Teams discovered through active learning methods, how to explore the dynamics of creating high-impact teams that can generate changes in their society; how to provide leadership and motivation to their members; how to use fun activities to increase team work efficiency; and how you can overcome barriers within a multi-faith/multicultural team.

Achievements

-Introducing new active methods to the different associations taking part in the event
- To direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives
- To build bridges between different associations from different cultural/religious backgrounds

Challenges

Building a multicultural team with the ability to work together towards a common vision.
