I am a Canadian Girl Guide Link member who has recently returned from six months of working in Kenya with the Kenya Girl Guides Association.

While in Kenya I learned about all three of the projects listed here. The water tanks at HQ are a success - very useful. I stayed at HQ with the staff when I was visiting Nairobi. The training centre project is actually to be built in Kericho (not Ilrecho - there is no such place). They have yet to begin though because a suitable plot of land has been hard to find and buy. The Saka goat project, though i was never able to visit it due to insecurities in the region, inspired me to spend most of my time researching and writing about youth groups with revenue-generating projects.
