Connect to WAGGGS and other members

Apply to be a youth delegate at international advocacy events

Become a young WAGGGS representative at the UN General Assembly in New York or the World Youth Conference in Mexico City in 2010. These are significant milestones for the MDGs as it is the 10 year anniversary of their inception, with only five years to go before they are meant to be achieved. As a member of the WAGGGS delegation you will ensure that the youth voice influences decision makers on issues affecting girls and young women.

Nominate an expert, including yourself

Nominate an expert on hunger and poverty to be a WAGGGS subject matter expert. The experts will contribute to WAGGGS’ position statements on hunger and poverty and give advice for campaigns and projects. They will contribute to training materials and help mentor other Girl Guides and Girl Scouts on the topic. Send the nomination, including a short Guiding CV, to bernadette@wagggsworld.org

Tell us about your project

Submit your hunger and poverty project as a best practice case study. WAGGGS will use your example to showcase how Girl Guides and Girl Scouts tackle this issue, which will help other people deliver similar projects. We will also use your story in publications and promotional material to spread the word about all the amazing things Girl Guides and Girl Scouts are doing around the world. Send the project description including contact details of the responsible person to bernadette@wagggsworld.org
