MY World: a global survey for citizens

World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) has partnered with the United Nations and other partners to help define the next set of global goals – and we want to hear from you about your priorities for a better world!

The United Nations and partners have teamed up to put in place an innovative global survey, known as MY World, so people can participate in the post-2015 process of revealing the changes that would make the most difference to their lives.

What is MY World?

  • It is a survey which allows people across the world to tell the United Nations the most important issues they would like the post-2015 agenda - the future global development framework - to address.
  • MY World asks individuals which six – out of sixteen possible issues - they think would make the most difference to their lives.
  • Through a special partner link, WAGGGS will be able to monitor how effective our mobilization efforts are and how many votes are coming from our Members! Moreover, through this new partner arrangement, the priorities of our Members will be communicated to us and we will make sure we build our advocacy on future development goals based on your priorities!

Cast your vote now!

21-28 January 2013 will be the Global Week of Action Campaigning, therefore we particularly welcome your votes within that period, but also beyond!

How to complete the Survey?

It's very simple! You are just six clicks away from telling us your priorities for a better world. Visit the MY World website and cast your vote now.

What Next?

Results will be shared with world leaders in setting the next global development agenda. They will be submitted to the Secretary General´s High Level Panel for Post-2015 before their meetings in Monrovia, Bali and New York and will feed into their final report and recommendations for a new development framework in May 2013.

After which, MY World will continue gathering people´s voices up to 2015 and the results will be shared with the Secretary General and global leaders.

Going Further!

We encourage you also to take the MY World survey out into your communities, particularly the most vulnerable and isolated groups. If you are interested in doing this, please email Anush Aghabalyan at anush@wagggsworld.org for more information and the offline ballot form.

Tell us about the world you want, because your voice matters!

The United Nations Development Programme, the UN Millennium Campaign, the Overseas Development Institute and the World Wide Web Foundation have jointly developed MY World.
