Hellooooooo halfway point! It’s almost midnight on Thursday the 31st, and all of us are still up and going, even after a long day of building palaces and travelling around the world! Here’s the day in recap:

First thing in the morning, we were divided into business groups and told that the Maharani of Pune would be visiting us and challenging us to present plans for the construction of a palace for her and his Highness, the Maharaja.
The Maharani was duly impressed with all of our presentations and is still in discussion with her most trusted advisor Nadine over which business group to choose for the illustrious task.

Another very important person joined us today, as one of our staff had to leave. Elspeth Henderson, Chairman of the WAGGGS World Board, arrived safely at our seminar to spend the rest of the week with us, as her fellow Board member Linden had to depart today. Elspeth spent the afternoon in discussion with all of the JLS participants about WAGGGS and individual MOs during our rotation schedule today. It is awe-inspiring to realize how large a movement we all actually belong to. Welcome Madam Chair!
Tonight was a night of music and dancing, colour and lights, as each participant dressed up in their nation’s finest for our International Night. We were transported to each country represented here in the matter of seconds, from dancing in the streets of the Philippines, to playing children’s games in Africa, to singing in Spanish, to learning how to properly use chopsticks! Our heads and hearts are still spinning from our travels and the sights and sounds of so many beautiful cultures.
To wrap up our long journey, we had a late supper, where we feasted off of foods representing all of our countries, brought by each of the participants. There were cookies, nuts, cakes, maple syrup, hummus, parmesan cheese, candies, sausages, chocolates, scones, fish, octopus, fruits and bread, among so much more! What a party it was, all of us in our finery, tasting each other’s homelands. Our senses were reeling!
Hello, Ca ka fete, Privet, Sa wad dee ka, Hola, Servus, Ahn nyung ha se yo, Bonjour and Namaste to everyone of you who have been keeping us in your thoughts. Your messages are an inspiration to us and give us a boost when we read them out every morning.

Good evening, to all the JLS participants! It is wonderful to read about your experiences in India. It brings back beautiful memories of when I visited in 2005 and also being at a similar event at Our Chalet this April for the Helen Storrow seminar.

How wonderful to have an opportunity to see what you are doing, almost "live to air"! I am thrilled to hear how your days are unfolding, how much you are learning, and how you are sharing with each other and with WAGGGS.
