Join up your environment work with WAGGGS
Nominate a delegate to an international advocacy event
WAGGGS will be sending delegations of young women to several international events in 2010 focusing on the environment, including the World Youth Conference in Mexico City in August and the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September, both of which will examine progress on the MDGs 10 years on from their creation. If you, or someone you know, is an expert on the environment and would like to attend, please contact bernadette@wagggsworld.org and watch this space for more details on the application process.
Join the Environment programme expert group
Nominate an environment savvy Girl Guide, Girl Scout or volunteer leader as a WAGGGS environment expert. The experts will contribute to WAGGGS’ position statements on climate change and give advice for campaigns and projects. Send the nomination, including a short Guiding CV, to bernadette@wagggsworld.org
Tell us about your environment project
Submit your environment project as a best practice case study. WAGGGS will use your example to showcase how Girl Guides and Girl Scouts help the environment, which will help other people deliver similar projects and attract partners. Send the project description including contact details of the responsible person to bernadette@wagggsworld.org
