Global Action Days

WAGGGS features days that are of particular relevance to girls and young women and provides examples of how to celebrate the event. In this section you can read more about past international days as well as up and coming ones.

The United Nations (UN) has dedicated a set of days, weeks and years to help focus on important topics in which the organization has interest and commitment. You can find a list of all international UN days on this calendar. The international days occur every year on the same date and are often themed.

As well as the UN days there are other international days, weeks, months and even years organized by alliances and coalitions to raise awareness and call for action on topics of worldwide importance.
