Young Women's World Forum 2010 As part of the centenary celebrations, Girlguiding UK will be hosting the first Young Women’s World Forum (YWWF) in cooperation with WAGGGS in October 2010. The forum will be discussing issues that are relevant to young women from across the globe and will focus on the Millennium Development Goals. |

Juliette Low Seminar 2008 focuses on leadership ‘Peak experiences in leadership development’ is the theme of the Juliette Low Seminar (JLS), which is taking place at Our Chalet from 15 to 23 November. The programme is based on three of the WAGGGS Leadership Development Programme (WLDP) modules and includes preparatory homework, tasks to reflect on personal experiences with leadership and prepare presentation of narratives of personal development. |

Surrey West International Gathering in 2008 The Surrey West International Gathering (SWInG) 2008, organized by Girlguiding Surrey West (UK), will take place from 2 to 9 August 2008 in Surrey, England. More than 500 girls, aged 10 to 18 years are expected to attend this event. |

International Women’s Summit in Kenya A WAGGGS delegation of 16 women participated in two events at the World YWCA Council in Nairobi from 1 to 7 July 2007: the Young Women Leadership Forum and the International Women’s Summit. |
| 23 May 2007 | Five Regional Conferences in 2007 WAGGGS’ five regions are celebrating their conferences in 2007. Regional Conferences are held each triennium to promote and expand Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting within the region and develop plans for assisting National Organizations. |

In Switzerland, Our Chalet is marking its 75th Birthday with Open Days in August and the official anniversary in September. Asia Pacific Strategic Leadership workshop in Cambodia ‘Then-Now-Next; Listen-Talk-Act' was the theme of the Asia Pacific Strategic Leadership workshop that took place in Cambodia. During the five day event, participants enhanced their strategic leadership skills. |

Arab and Africa Forum More than 50 young women participated in the Arab and Africa Youth Forum in Cairo, Egypt. The aim of the event was to bring young women from both regions together to create better understanding of each other. |
