CSW gave our young delegates the opportunity to influence the issues they care about and be the voice of young women.
WAGGGS submitted a written statement on the main theme for this year: ‘The equal sharing of responsibilities between women and men, including caregiving in the context of HIV/AIDS’. The review theme will be: ‘Equal participation of women and men in decision-making processes at all levels’ (from 2005).
WAGGGS organized side events such as the WAGGGS Friends breakfast, and the Youth Organizations Caucus, together with the World YWCA, which aimed to exchange and share positions of young people and youth organizations and produce an oral statement for the interactive session on the main theme and/or review theme.
