Pathways to leadership seminar

The WAGGGS World Centre at Our Cabaña (Mexico) is hosting the 'Pathways to leadership' seminar from 2 to 6 October 2010. Forty-one young women from 39 countries are attending the event, which is one of the core parts of a one year long project implemented by the Europe and Western Hemisphere Regions.

Pathways to leadership is a project based on the WAGGGS Leadership Development Programme (WLDP) educational criteria. The main purpose of this project is to provide opportunities for existing leaders to develop international leadership skills.

Participants will learn about female leadership and gender equality and the impact that women can have at different levels of society. They will gain leadership related skills and competences and become able to multiply their skills in their associations.

After the training, participants will work together in small groups in order to develop leadership in their associations and communities and start advocacy projects dedicated to MDG 3: promote gender equality and empower women.
