Etna Volcanic Adventure

Participate in a Charity Challenge!! Get active, challenge yourself, and raise funds for WAGGGS the fun way! The 2010 Challenge Program includes a variety of exciting events held around the world for you to choose from.

Your long weekend trek begins on the northern slopes of Mount Etna the largest volcano in Europe, standing at about 3,350m. Your first night will be spent in a mountain hut at Piano Provenzana (1,800m) You will spend two days trekking over 35kms and discovering the Pista Altomontana, the circular path around Mt. Etna and staying overnight in local mountain huts.

All the funds you are able to raise by participating in a WAGGGS Charity Challenge will go to support the Global Girls Fund, dedicated to empowering all girls and young women from as far as: Sri Lanka, Belarus, Jordan, South Africa and Peru, to reach their full potential and take action to change their world and those around them for the better.
