The XVIII International AIDS Conference (AIDS2010) was held in Vienna, Austria from 18 to 23 July 2010. Under the theme ‘Rights here, right now’, it emphasized the importance of protecting human rights as a prerequisite to a successful response to HIV.

The AIDS 2010 programme presented new scientific knowledge and offered many opportunities for structured dialogue on the major issues facing the global response to HIV.
