World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Members' area

Olave Award

The Olave Award is made to local Girl Guide or Girl Scout groups
or units in recognition of their outstanding community service work.

The service should be linked in some way to the belief held by the World Chief Guide to ’keep alive the spirit of service’.

At the 33rd World Conference in South Africa the following Associations received the Olave Award 2006-2008:

  • Persatuan Pandu Puteri, Malaysia - Girl Guides Association of Malaysia - Negeri Sembilan Branch
  • Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association - 11th Kandy Guide Company
  • Association Des Guides Du Liban (Lebanese Girl Guides Association) - The Girl Guides Branch
  • Girl Scouts of the Philippines - Junior Calla Lily Troop 417, Bukidnon Girl Scouts Council

At the 32nd World Conference the following Associations received the Olave Award 2002-2005:

  • Federação de Bandeirantes do Brasil
  • The Mauritius Girl Guides Association
  • Girlguiding UK
  • The Girl Guides Association of Thailand
