Young Women's World Forum 2010

In October 2010, Girlguiding UK will be hosting the first Young Women’s World Forum (YWWF) in cooperation with WAGGGS. The forum will be discussing issues that are relevant to young women from across the globe and will focus on the Millennium Development Goals. We also hope that the YWWF will help create a shared global vision for Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting.

Who is the YWWF for?

All WAGGGS Member Organizations are being invited to send two delegates to the YWWF, who are:
  • Young women aged 18-25 (at least 18 by 1 October 2010 and still under 26 years old on 31 October 2010).
  • Active members of their organization, but do not need to have attended any previous WAGGGS events.
  • Very good French, English or Spanish speakers in order to be able to contribute and benefit fully from the Forum.
  • Committed to running projects or programmes as a follow-up to the Forum.
If you want to attend the YWWF and meet the above criteria please contact your International Commissioner to find out how they are recruiting their delegates.

When will more information be available?

We will be posting more information on the WAGGGS centenary website as soon as it’s available. Closer to the YWWF we will be asking for input to the forum content from young women across WAGGGS, so please keep visiting to check for updates.
