Tuesday: zipping across cultural boundaries
Today, karabiners held their weight while we walked on wires, jumped from a bridge and overcame our fears in the Adventure Park. We zipped through the air on wires tied high above a river, negotiated the monkey bridge and abseiled from a bridge. Despite the cold brought forth by the snow and the challenges we needed to surmount, we felt the warmth from the encouraging words and the friendly hugs we gave each other. It truly felt like we have the support of the entire world.
Through confidence, determination and trust, every step we took to get to the Adventure Park symbolized empowering global guiding. This was evident especially during the debriefing session we had when we came back from our trip.In the afternoon, we participated in creativity workshops: Dancemania, Teamwords and Notewords made us realize the value of teamwork, while having fun.
And what fun it was! The entertainment night that followed showcased the outputs from the earlier workshops.
