Useful documents related to hunger and poverty
Poor nutrition plays a role in at least half of the 10.9 million child deaths each year. Yet there is enough food in the world to feed the population and it is often gender inequality which traps girls and women into vicious poverty cycles.
We have two useful documents that will help you with your advocacy action:
WAGGGS position statement on the Right to Food, which outlines concrete demands how the international community, national government and all WAGGGS’ members should take action against hunger.- The WAGGGS Advocacy Toolkit is the best resource to get your advocacy action going! It is useful for all levels: regional, national and local and contains a lot of concrete planning tools and good tips for the implementation.
